Professor Dr. Vincenzo Spagnolo received his degree summa cum laude and PhD in Physics, both from the University of Bari. He is a Full Professor of Applied Physics at the Technical University of Bari and has been Vice-Rector for Technology Transfer since 2019. He has been a Visiting Professor at Rice University, Shanxi University, and Jinan University. His research topics mainly include electron/phonon interactions, optoelectronic device modeling, and optoacoustic gas sensing (QEPAS). He directs the PolySense lab and co-directs the International Joint Laboratory on Laser Carbon Monitoring. In 2021, he co-founded the company PolySenSe Innovations sl.
