I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (molecular emphasis) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2003), a Master's degree (2005), and a Doctorate (2009) in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same University. Develops projects on host-pathogen interactions, microbial virulence factors, and the identification of natural molecules with biotechnological potential. Research lines include the pathogens Cryptococcus sp. and Klebsiella pneumoniae. In addition, she participates in projects related to Zika virus, SARS-CoV-2 and Metarhizium anisopliae. Having experience in microbiology, biochemistry of microorganisms, and proteomics (with postdoctoral studies conducted at Scripps Research, USA, with Dr John Yates III). I am currently a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and the Post-Graduate Programs in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the same University.
