Prof. Dr. Maciej Ławryńczuk was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1972. He obtained his MSc in 1998, PhD in 2003, and DSc in 2013 in automatic control from Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. He has been employed at Warsaw University of Technology, the Institute of Control and Computation Engineering since 2003, and is currently a full professor. He is the author or a co-author of 7 books and more than 190 other publications, including more than 70 journal articles. His research interests include advanced control algorithms, particularly Model Predictive Control (MPC), set-point optimization algorithms, soft computing methods, neural networks, modeling, and simulation.
