Maria Conceição Antas de Barros Menéres Manso. Publishes with the name Maria Conceição Manso. Completed her PhD in Biotechnology at the Portuguese Catholic University, College of Biotechnology in 2000. She is an Associate Professor at the Fernando Pessoa University, Faculty of Health Sciences, where she has taught since 2000. She is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Scientific Council of FCS/ESS-UFP, and a member of the UFP Ethics Committee. She was President of the Pedagogical Council of FCS/ESS-UFP between 2005 and 2010. She has published more than 90 articles in specialised journals and 30 papers in the proceedings of events and has 8 published book chapters, as well as one patent. She has 2 dossiers and 210 other items of technical production. Co-supervised 10 doctoral theses and is currently supervising/co-supervising 7. She has supervised 3 master's dissertations and co-supervised 71, as well as supervising 31 bachelor's/master's degree final projects in the areas of Health Sciences (Dental Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy) and Agricultural and Food Biotechnology. Between 2004 and 2020 she took part in several research projects, coordinating one of them and a clinical trial. She works in the areas of Biostatistics (Medical Sciences with an emphasis on Health Sciences) and Environment and Health, and now less so in Agricultural and Food Biotechnology. She is a member of the Statistics Portuguese Society (SPE).
