I am an exceedingly passionate scientist with a PhD in Food Biomaterials. My research centers around diet, gut and host health interactions mostly focusing on obesity and most recently, neurodevelopment. I am interested in gut microbiota's role in conversion of dietary components into metabolites that impart various health benefits, directly or indirectly, to humans in both healthy and disease states. I also have a budding interest in computational biology, specifically in RNA sequencing data analysis using R and QIIME2 platforms.
