Dr. Leonida Antonio Gizzi is currently the Head of the National Institute of Optics Unit of the National Research Council (CNR) in Pisa, and he is also leading the Intense Laser Irradiation Laboratory at INO. He is currently a coordinator of the laser design of the EuPRAXIA H2020 project and a former member of the Project Management Committee of the UK led HiPER project, the European Research Infrastracture for Inertial Fusion Energy. He is also associated with INFN and leads the program of all-optical laser-plasma particle acceleration and radiation sources with the ultraintense lasers. His research interests include Plasma Physics, Laser, Plasma Diagnostics, Energy, Ultrafast Lasers, Physics, Plasma, Femtosecond Lasers, Spectrometers, and Laser Ablation. He is a co-author of more than 265 publications, including 180 articles in refereed (JCR) journals.
