Sara Bagherifard is a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department at Politecnico di Milano. Her major research interests are surface treatments, additive manufacturing, and structural integrity of metallic components. Since her Ph.D. in Mechanical Systems Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, she has held multiple research associate and adjunct positions in various institutes, including the University of Cambridge(UK) (Life Science Engineering group), Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (US), Harvard Medical School (US), and NTNU University (Norway).
