Nadka Tz. Dintcheva is an Associate Professor of (bio)polymer science and technology (Associate Prof since 2015, Assistant Prof 2005–2014) at the University of Palermo. She holds a Ph.D. in “Chemical Technology and New Materials” (XIII Cycle) from the University of Palermo. She worked as a Post-doctoral fellow on Thermoplastic elastomers of post-consumer materials-characterization of the polyolefins (2001.11–2002.10) and as Post-doctoral fellow on Thermoplastic vulcanization of post-consumer plastic materials (2003.2–2004.12) at the University of Palermo. The main research experiences and activities are in three main areas of (bio)polymer engineering and science: (1) Polymer recycling; (2) Engineering aspects of Micro-/Nano-filled polymer-based systems; (3) Naturally occurring polymers and compounds as alternatives to the oil-based counterparts. She has about 20 years of experience in research, teaching, and training of senior and early-career researchers and graduates in the field of polymer science and technology. She is active in International and EU research collaborations, and she is a member of the scientific board of Polym. Degrad. Discuss. Group (PDDG), Pan-EU society Modif. Degrad. Stab. of Polymers, (MoDeSt) and Editorial Board of Polymers-MDPI (Q1, 17/87).
