Prof. Dr. Fethi Meghnefi is a member of the Canada Research Chair Tier 1 on Aging of Oil-Filled Equipment on High Voltage Lines (ViAHT) and a Professor at the Department of Applied Sciences (DSA), University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (UQAC). He was awarded an engineer degree in electronics in 1998 from the University of Sidi-Bel-Abbes (Algeria), a Master degree in 2001 from the University of Tlemcen (Algeria), and a Ph.D. degree in 2007 at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada within the NSERC/Hydro-Quebec Industrial Chair on Atmospheric Icing of Power Network Equipment (CIGELE). His main research interests include signal processing, modeling and computer simulation, control engineering, and high voltage engineering. He has authored and co-authored dozens of technical papers and reports.
