Dr. Gintautas Bagdžiūnas received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry 2012 under the supervision of Prof. E. Butkus at Vilnius University by working on organic synthesis and supramolecular chemistry of the bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-based systems. Then, he joined the group of Prof. J. Gražulevičius by working in the area of theoretical modelling of organic semiconductors for organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). Since 2017, he joined the group of Prof. A. Ramanavičius by working as a postdoctoral fellow in the area of a developing and theoretical study of biosensors based on organic semiconductors. He is Chief Researcher at Department of Bioanalysis at Institute of Biochemistry Life Sciences Center, Vilnius University, and at Department of Functional Materials and Electronics Center for Physical Sciences and Technology. His current research and teaching interests are focused on theoretical chemistry and applications of organic semiconductors and their self-assembled monolayers as the supramolecular systems on conducting surfaces toward bioelectronics.
