Frank Bloomfield is the Deputy Vice Chancellor
(Research and Innovation) for the University of Auckland.
Previously, he was the Director of the Liggins Institute, one of the
university of Auckland’s Large Scale Research Institutes. He is a Professor in Neonatology,
having worked clinically for many years as a Consultant Neonatologist at
Auckland City Hospital. In 2024 he was appointed Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit and elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand Te Apārangi.
