Hyoung-Nam Kim received their B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang, South Korea, in 1993, 1995, and 2000, respectively. From 2000 to 2003, he was with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Daejeon, South Korea, developing advanced transmission and reception technology for terrestrial digital television. In 2003, he joined the Department of Electronics Engineering at Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea, as a faculty member, where he is currently a full-time professor. From 2009 to 2010,
he was a visiting scholar with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. From 2015 to 2016, he was a Visiting Professor with the School of Electronics and Computer Engineering, University of Southampton, U.K. His research interests include radar/sonar signal processing, machine learning, adaptive filtering, biomedical signal processing, digital communications, electronic warfare support systems, and brain–computer interfaces. He is a member of IEIE and KICS.
