I am a scientist from Lithuania with a research focus on parasites in a variety of hosts. My academic background centers on the morphological and genetic diversity of Sarcocystis species, particularly those parasitizing gulls (Larus) and corvids (Corvidae) in Lithuania, which was the subject of my thesis. Currently, my work delves deeper into the life cycle of Sarcocystis, with an emphasis on identifying and understanding their definitive hosts. In addition to protozoan parasites, I have a strong interest in helminths. I am currently supervising two students investigating helminths found in the respiratory and digestive systems of red foxes (Vulpes vulpes).
