Stephanie C Joachim, PhD, MD, is the Head of the Experimental Eye Research Institute, Ruhr-University Bochum and a Professor of Experimental Ophthalmology (Ruhr-University Bochum). She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft, and ARVO. Her research interests include glaucoma; age-related macular degeneration; retinal diseases; retinal organ culture models; autoimmunity; and neuroprotection.
