Enrique Quiroga-González studied electronics at the Technological Institute of Hermosillo. He obtained a master’s degree in Microelectronics in 2005 at the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE), in Tonantzintla, Mexico. In 2010, he received his PhD degree at the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Kiel, Germany. From then to December 2013, he was the leader of battery research at the Institute for Materials Science of the same university, working as a staff scientist.
Since January 2014, he has been a Professor at the Institute of Physics of BUAP, Puebla, Mexico, where nowadays he is the coordinator of the programs of graduate studies on Materials Science. He is the leader of the Energy Laboratory and the research group “Low Dimensionality Structures” at the same institution. His main research area is the development of micro- and nano-structured materials for energy conversion and storage and bio-applications. He belongs to the Mexican National Researchers System (SNII) with category 2.
Since March 2017, he has been the representative of the Mexican Energy Storage Network, and since 2021, he has been a technical counselor of the Energy Agency of the State of Puebla.
