Ron D. Hays is a distinguished professor of Medicine, at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Division of General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research. He received a Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside in 1984. He was full-time at the RAND Corporation from 1984 to 1997 and has been an affiliated adjunct researcher at the RAND Corporation since he joined UCLA in 1997. His research focuses on patient-reported measures. He is a Thomson Reuters/Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher from 2015 to 2021. He received the President's Award in 2009 and has been Honorary Member Status of International Society for Quality of Life Research since 2018.
