Ping Zhu has a Master's degree in Microbiology and Biochemical Pharmacy (Microbial Genetics) and is a Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Bioactive Substance and Function of Natural Medicines as well as the NHC Key Laboratory of Biosynthesis of Natural Products at the Institute of Materia Medica and the Peking Union Medical College & Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
