I am an interdisciplinary scientist with extensive research experience spanning Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Microbiology, complemented by specialized expertise in medicinal chemistry, biopharmaceutical development, and antimicrobial research. My medicinal chemistry background includes the total synthesis of complex molecules, natural product discovery, and heterogeneous catalysis for the development of biologically active compounds. I have significant experience in bioprocess engineering, encompassing both upstream and downstream processing strategies for biopharmaceutical production and optimization. My analytical chemistry expertise includes the application of advanced characterization techniques such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC–MS) for compound identification, quality assessment, and process monitoring. In addition, I possess strong expertise in molecular biology–based bioassays and pharmacological evaluation, enabling the assessment of biological activity, mechanism of action, and therapeutic potential of novel compounds. My microbiology research focuses on antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT), with particular emphasis on developing innovative strategies to eradicate multidrug-resistant pathogens.
