Biography

Here’s a tightened version under the 1500-character limit that still covers the major points clearly and professionally. I am an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. My research focuses on immune-mediated thrombotic disorders, including antiphospholipid syndrome (APS), thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), and vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT). I investigate thrombo-inflammation with the goal of developing novel non-anticoagulant therapies. I received my PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Calcutta and completed postdoctoral training at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Thomas Jefferson University, and CHOP. My work combines thrombosis biology, complement activation, NET formation, antibody engineering, nanotechnology, and microfluidic thrombosis models using patient-derived plasma and antibodies. I serve as a reviewer for *Vaccines* and Guest Editor for MDPI special issues on nanoparticle vaccines and immune-mediated thrombosis. I am an active member of ASH, ISTH, HTRS, and the American Heart Association. My research has been recognized through several awards, including ASH, ISTH, AAI, and HTRS early career and abstract awards.
