Prof. Tae-Jin Yang currently serves as a Professor at the Department of Plant Science at Seoul National University. He received his bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees in horticultural science from Seoul National University in 1989, 1994, and 1997, respectively. Prof. Tae-Jin Yang conducted research as a postdoctoral researcher at Clemson University and Arizona University Genomics Institute for 4 years and worked as a researcher in rural development administration in Korea for 10 years. From 2000 to 2003, he was a research assistant scientist at the Arizona Genome Institute, USA. Since 2006, he has worked at Seoul National University. Prof. Tae-Jin Yang's research interests are plant genomics, evolution, molecular breeding, and NGS-based high-throughput plastid genome sequencing and phylogenomics. He developed a novel NGS-based pipeline for high-throughput complete sequencing of plastid and nrDNA, simultaneously, which is useful for phylogenomics.
