Ryan Hardy is a geodesist and geoid modeler at NOAA's National Geodetic Survey. He earned a PhD in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado in 2019. Dr. Hardy develops and validates the models that make up the North America-Pacific Geopotential Datum of 2022 (NAPGD2022), including both the static and dynamic components of GEOID2022. In 2020, Dr. Hardy developed the Total Station Astrogeodetic Control System (TSACS), a total-station-based geodetic astronomy system that NGS uses for quickly measuring geopotential differences and validating its geoid models.
