Md. Arafatur Rahman received his Ph.D. degree in ETE from the University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, in 2013. He has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer with the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Wolverhampton, U.K. He was an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Computing, UMP, Malaysia. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the University of Naples Federico II in 2014 and a Visiting Researcher with Sapienza University of Rome in 2016. His research interests include the IoT, wireless communication networks, cognitive radio networks, 5G, vehicular communication, cyber–physical systems, big data, Cloud–Fog–Edge computing, ML, and security. He has developed an excellent track record of academic leadership. He has received a number of prestigious international research awards. He has co-authored around 100 prestigious IEEE and Elsevier journal and conference publications and has served as an Advisory Board Member, Editor (Computers, MDPI), Lead Guest Editor (IEEE ACCESS, Computers), Associate Editor (IEEE ACCESS), Senior Member (IEEE), Patron, General Chair, Publicity Chair, and Session Chair in numerous leading conferences worldwide (IEEE DASC, IEEE ETCCE, etc.) and journals. He is on the World Top 2% Scientists List released by Stanford University in 2019. He was a Fellow of the IBM Center of Excellence and Earth Resources & Sustainability Center, Malaysia.
