Prof. Dr. Yong Tae Park is currently a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Myongji University. He joined Myongji University as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering in March 2014, after his postdoctoral research for 2.5 years in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota. He finished his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, with a Materials Science emphasis. He also received a B.S. and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with Applied Mechanics emphasis, from KAIST and POSTECH, respectively. His current research interests lie in both the development of thin coatings using layer-by-layer techniques and the study of multifunctional polymer nanocomposites, including energy harvesting, antimicrobial and antibacterial, flame retardant, self-powered sensors, and electrostimulation platforms.
