Dr. Hisham ElMoaqet obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Mechatronics from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2002 and 2006 respectively. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Mechatronics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA in 2015. He was a research fellow affiliated with the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan in the period 2015–2016. He joined the German Jordanian University (GJU) as an Assistant Professor in the Mechatronics Engineering Department in 2016. During the summer of 2017, he was a Visiting Professor in the Institute of Technical Medicine in Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences in Villingen-Schwenningen. Germany. He is also a Visiting Research Scientist at the Cardiovascular Research Group of Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. His current research interests include dynamic systems, modeling, identification, and control, machine learning, physiological systems, and mechatronics systems design.
