Prof. Bun Yeoul Lee received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. from Seoul National University (1986–1994). After working for LG Chem for 5 years (1995–1999), he moved to U.C. Santa Barbara, working with Prof. Bazan as a post-doctoral researcher for 1.5 years. He has been a Professor at Ajou University since 2001. His research interests lie in the area of polymerization catalysts. His achievements are distinguished by the following: showing some examples of “Paper-Patent-Technology Transfer to Industry”; Ethylene tetramerization catalyst to SPCI; PO-PS block copolymers to LG Chem; biodegradable aliphatic polycarbonates to Lotte Chem; Ti catalyst for polyolefin elastomers to Lotte Chem; and CO2/epoxide copolymerization catalyst to SK.
