Nadia Spano received her doctorate degree in Chemistry cum laude from the University of Sassari, Italy, in 1997 and her PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2003. She is currently an Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemical, Physical, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences of the University of Sassari. Her research interests mainly focus on analytical chemistry; the development and validation of analytical methods (liquid and gas chromatography, spectroscopic methods, HPLC-ICP-MS, and electroanalytical methods); food chemistry and analysis; environmental chemistry; speciation analysis; studies of equilibria in solution between metal ions and ligands of biological interest; and the characterization of different components in biomasses. She is the author/co-author of about 100 papers in international journals and poster presentations at conferences. She is the Guest Editor of Special Issues “Progress in Analytical Methods for the Characterization, Quality and Safety of the Beehive Products” and “Progress in Analytical Methods for the Characterization, Quality and Safety of the Beehive Products II” for MDPI.
