Violeta-Carolina Niculescu received a PhD in chemistry in 2012 (“Ilie Murgulescu,” Physical-Chemistry Institute of the Romanian Academy, Bucharest) and is a senior scientific researcher at ICSI Rm. Valcea (ICSI Analytics Department). Her scientific background is in life sciences; her main interests are in the synthesis, characterization, and application of new biologically active compounds and new porous and non-porous materials. Her current research is directed towards improving quality of life, security, and the environment. Her scientific work has resulted in three book chapters, four national patents, two patent applications, more than 30 scientific articles published in journals with IF (CLAROVATE ANALYTICS), more than 70 scientific articles published in ISI or other international database indexed journals, more than 100 scientific papers presented at national or international conferences/congresses, six awards and distinctions, and more than 15 national and international projects as project leader and/or scientific officer.
