Biography

Giovanna Iucci is an associate professor at the University Roma Tre and a member of the Science Department. Her teaching activity includes courses in general and inorganic chemistry. She is the author of 88 peer-reviewed scientific papers and of many congress communications; she has presented her research activity in many national and international conferences. Her research activity concerns the study of thin film surfaces by surface-sensitive techniques, such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), induced both by conventional sources and by synchrotron radiation, absorption spectroscopy (NEXAFS, Near Edge X-ray Absorption Fine Structure), and FTIR-IRRAS (Infrared Reflection Absorption Spectroscopy). Her main research interest is focused on the study of peptide systems immobilized on biocompatible surfaces, such as titanium, a biocompatible material widely used in the field of implantology.
