Diego Ingrosso currently works as a full professor at the Department of Precision Medicine, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Naples, Italy. He obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery, magna cum laude, from the School of Medicine, Federico II University, in 1980, and Oncology from the Catholic University School of Medicine, “A. Gemelli” University Hospital. In 1998, he received his Ph.D. in Biochemical Sciences from the Consortium of Universities of Naples and Bari. He was a Research Fellow in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1987 to 1990. He serves as a member of the Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology (SIBioC). His research fields are carbon metabolism and sulfur amino acid metabolism in health and disease, uremic Toxicity, coagulation, and thrombosis.
