Dr. Zhao-Ying Liu obtained his Doctor's Degree from the Huazhong Agricultural University in 2009. He is a professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Hunan Agricultural University. He has co-authored over 70 publications, including Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B and J Ethnopharmacol. He holds six Chinese patents. His current research interests include drug metabolism and analysis, pharmacology, and toxicology. In recent years, several critical analytical techniques were obtained to study the effectiveness and safety of traditional Chinese medicine extracts. A pioneering study was carried out on the pharmacokinetics and residues of multicomponent veterinary drugs. The neurotoxic mechanism of Gelsemium elegans poisoning was clarified.
