Prof. Giovanni Peira graduated in 1993 in Economics and Commerce at the University of Turin. From 1999 to 2022, he was a researcher in Commodity Sciences at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Turin. Since 2022, he has been an associate professor. He currently works at the Department of Management of the University of Turin. His main research areas are agri-food chains, product labeling, tools for enhancing the value of agri-food production, in particular geographical indications, and food and wine tourism. He is an associate member of AISME (Italian Academy of Commodity Science), AIDEA (Italian Academy of Business Economics), NatRisk—Research Centre on Natural Risk in Mountain and Hilly Environments of the University of Turin and FAO-CIHEAM subnetwork on Mountain Pastures.
