Mauro Mariotti d’Alessandro was born in Milan, Italy, in 1983. He received the bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunications engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, in 2005, 2009, and 2014, respectively. From 2014 to 2016, he was with the research team of CONAE, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 2016, he has been a Research Assistant with the Department of Electronics, Informatics and Bioengineering (DEIB), Politecnico di Milano. He worked on the development of the SAOCOM mission and bistatic configurations. He is currently working on the development of algorithms for the ESA BIOMASS systems. His research interests include synthetic aperture radar(SAR) tomography, interferometry, polarimetry, and calibration of airborne and spaceborne data.
