Changming Dong received his Ph.D. in physical oceanography from Columbia University, New York, NY, USA, in 2002. From 2002 to 2004, he was a postdoc at Princeton University and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Since 2004, Prof. Dong has been a research professor working at UCLA. He joined the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), Nanjing, China, in 2014. He is currently a Professor at the School of Marine Sciences, NUIST. His research interests include physical oceanography, AI oceanography, and laboratory geophysical fluid dynamics.
