Senior researcher at the optics department of the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) since 1997. Group leader of the Biophotonics Group. His research interest focus is in optical tweezers, optic cavitation and photodynamic therapy. He obtained his PhD from the Imperial College London; his MSc from the Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica, Mexico and his BSc from the Physics and Mathematics Superior School Mexico. He is author or co-author more than 170 technical paper and two book chapters.
