Dr Driton Vllasaliu gained his MPharm and PhD in Drug Delivery at the University of Nottingham. He is presently a Lecturer in Pharmaceutics at King's College London. His major achievements lie in applying biological understanding of mucosal tissue barriers and epithelial transport processes to the design of novel systems (including nanomedicines) for mucosal delivery of biotherapeutics (peptides, proteins and nucleic acids). Driton is a Fellow of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, registrant of the General Pharmaceutical Council and member of the EPSRC peer-review college.
