In recent times, a phishing attack has become one of the most prominent attacks faced by internet users, governments, and service-providing organizations. In a phishing attack, the attacker(s) collects the client’s sensitive data (i.e., user account login details, credit/debit card numbers, etc.) by using spoofed emails or fake websites. Phishing websites are common entry points of online social engineering attacks, including numerous frauds on the websites. In such types of attacks, the attacker(s) create website pages by copying the behavior of legitimate websites and sends URL(s) to the targeted victims through spam messages, texts, or social networking. To provide a thorough understanding of phishing attack(s), this paper provides a literature review of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Hybrid Learning, and Scenario-based techniques for phishing attack detection. This paper also presents the comparison of different studies detecting the phishing attack for each AI technique and examines the qualities and shortcomings of these methodologies. Furthermore, this paper provides a comprehensive set of current challenges of phishing attacks and future research direction in this domain.

Currently, drones represent a promising technology for combating Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) due to the transport of goods, medical supplies to a given target location in the quarantine areas experiencing an epidemic outbreak. Drone missions will increasingly rely on drone collaboration, which requires the drones to reduce communication complexity and be controlled in a decentralized fashion. Blockchain technology becomes a must in industrial applications because it provides decentralized data, accessibility, immutability, and irreversibility. Therefore, Blockchain makes data public for all drones and enables drones to log information concerning world states, time, location, resources, delivery data, and drone relation to all neighbors drones. This paper introduces decentralized independent multi‐drones to accomplish the task collaboratively. Improving blockchain with a consensus algorithm can improve network partitioning and scalability in order to combat COVID‐19. The multi‐drones task is to combat COVID‐19 via monitoring and detecting, social distancing, sanitization, data analysis, delivering goods and medical supplies, and announcement while avoiding collisions with one another. We discuss End to End (E2E) delivery application of combination blockchain and multi‐drone in combating COVID‐19 and beyond future pandemics. Furthermore, the challenges and opportunities of our proposed framework are highlighted.

With the growth of network applications such as 5G and artificial intelligence, network security techniques, i.e., the techniques that detect various attacks (e.g., well-known denial-of service (DDoS) attacks) and prevent production networks (e.g., data center networks) from being attacked, become increasingly essential for network management and have gained great popularity in the networking community. Generally, these techniques are built on proprietary hardware appliances, i.e., middleboxes, or the paradigm that combines both software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) to implement security functions. However, the techniques built on middleboxes are proven to be hard-to-manage, costly, and inflexible, thereby making them an out-of-date choice in network security. For the techniques built on SDN and NFV, they virtualize and softwarize security functions on commodity servers, leading to non-trivial performance degradation. Fortunately, the recent emergence of programmable switches brings new opportunities of empowering network security techniques with the characteristics of easy-tomanage, low cost, high flexibility, and Tbps-level performance. In this survey, we focus on this promising trend in network security. More precisely, this survey first presents the preliminaries of programmable switches, which are the primary driver of next-generation network security techniques. Next, we comprehensively review existing techniques built on programmable switches, classify these techniques, and discuss their background, motivation, design, implementation, and limitations case-by-case. Finally, we summarize open issues and future research directions in this promising research topic of network security.
