Prof. Pedram Fatehi is a Director at the Biorefining Research Institute and Biomass Utilization Research Laboratory and an Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineering at Lakehead University. He received his BSc from the Chemical Engineering Department, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, an MSc from the Pulp and Paper Technology Department, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand, and a PhD from the Chemical Engineering Department, University of New Brunswick. His main research interests include the production of advanced cellulose-based materials, the modification of lignin and hemicelluloses to produce value-added products, and advanced colloid and interface science.
