Prof. Mingyi Chen currently works as an Associate Professor and Master Supervisor at the School of the Environment and Safety Engineering, Jiangsu University, China. In June 2012, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in safety engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, and in June 2017, he obtained a doctorate degree in safety science and engineering from the State Key Laboratory of Fire Science, University of Science and Technology of China. From September 2013 to June 2017, he participated in the joint training program between the City University of Hong Kong and the University of Science and Technology of China and obtained a joint doctorate degree in architecture and civil engineering from the City University of Hong Kong. His main research areas are battery thermal safety and thermal disasters, battery thermal management, and fire prevention and control.
