Muhammad Faizan Tahir received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Taxila, Pakistan, in 2011, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from The University of Lahore, Lahore, Pakistan, in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in power system and automation from the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, in 2020. From 2012 to 2016, he was a Lecturer with The University of Lahore. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as Postdoctoral Fellow with the South China University of Technology. Since 2023, he has been with New York University Abu Dhabi as a Post-Doctoral Associate, working on a VRI project in collaboration with Khalifa University. He actively reviews for several high-tier journals and has served as a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Energy Research and Energies. He has published more than 50 research articles, with an h-index of 20. His research interests include renewable energy integration, demand response, load management, power system optimization, integrated energy system planning, exergy analysis, power forecasting and machine learning.
