Since 2002, she has been studying the role of apoptosis signaling in cancer and investigated ways to therapeutically increase apoptosis to improve cancer treatment. Since 2017, she is leading a lab at the Institute for Experimental Cancer Research in Pediatrics at the Goethe University Frankfurt.
