Dr. Ishrat Jabeen earned her PhD with distinction from the University of Vienna, Austria, in February 2012. She started her professional career as an assistant professor at the Research Center for Modelling and Simulation (RCMS) at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, Pakistan, in May 2012. Currently she is working as an associate professor and head of the Computational Sciences Department at the RCMS, NUST. Dr. Ishrat is a pioneer of the Computational Drug Design (CDD) research group at RCMS, NUST, and the NUST Interdisciplinary Cluster for Higher Education. Her research emphasis is molecular modelling of proteins, chemometrics, and machine learning approaches to develop predictive computational systems for drug efficacy and drug toxicity.
