Geographer from the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG), M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), and specialist in Planning and Management of Protected Natural Areas from the Federal Institute of Southeastern Minas Gerais (IFSUDESTE-MG). He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Earth Observation and Geoinformatics Division of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biosystems Engineering, School of Science and Engineering, São Paulo State University (UNESP), Campus Tupã, where uses Earth observation time series for monitoring land use and cover changes in the Cerrado and Amazon biomes.
