My research focuses on urban environments and thermal infrared remote sensing. By integrating GIS, remote sensing, spatial and temporal statistical methods, and machine learning techniques, I investigate the characteristics, transformation trends, and ecological impacts of the extreme surface urban heat island effect, develop spatial downscaling methods for land surface temperatures, explore the response mechanisms of urban green spaces to extreme climate events, and assess the effectiveness of vegetation in mitigating the thermal environment of the city to support the sustainable development and climate resilience planning. The interdisciplinary research aims to promote the study of urban climate change and provide a foundation for refined thermal environment regulation, urban thermal risk assessment, and green infrastructure optimisation.
