Xianghua Liu is a Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Northeastern University. Her main research interests include new theories, new processes, new technologies and new products in the rolling process, simulation and optimization of the rolling process, variable-thickness rolling processes, ultra-thin-strip rolling technology and product development and rigid-plastic finite element theory and applications. She won first prize in the Shenyang Science and Technology Progress Award and second prize in the Liaoning Province Science and Technology Progress Award; she has eight authorized invention patents and four newly accepted patents.
