Fuyu Yang is a Professor at the Grassland Science Department of the College of Animal Science, Guizhou University. He graduated from China Agricultural University in 1998 with a major in animal nutrition and feed processing. In 2001, he obtained a master’s degree in agronomy from China Agricultural University. In 2007, he obtained a doctorate in agronomy from China Agricultural University with a major in grass science. From 2004 to 2005, he went to the Institute of Plant Nutrition and Soil Research in Germany as a visiting scholar. His main research areas and directions are grass production and processing, focusing on the development of new forage resources such as woody feed, diversified forage product processing, efficient degradation and utilization of cellulose, grass livestock integration, and energy grass development and utilization. He presided over many national and provincial and ministerial projects and topics. He participated in the “13th Five-Year Plan” and “14th Five-Year Plan” strategic research and planning work of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Energy Administration, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He won second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 1st) and first prize in the Ministry of Agriculture’s Chinese Shennong Science and Technology Award (ranked 1st).
