Martina Angeles Fité, MD, PhD, ESGO-Certified Gynecologic Oncologist Dr. Martina Angeles is a specialist in gynecologic oncology at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital and a postdoctoral researcher at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) in Barcelona, Spain. She received her medical degree with honors from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. She later pursued an ESGO-accredited fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Institut Universitaire du Cancer de Toulouse - Oncopole, France, where she worked for over five years. Dr. Angeles earned her PhD with a thesis on sentinel lymph node mapping in endometrial cancer in 2021 and a thesis on radical surgery for advanced ovarian cancer in 2023. Her clinical and research interests focus primarily on ovarian cancer, cytoreductive surgery, and surgical innovation in gynecologic malignancies. She actively contributes to national and international research collaborations in the field.
