Prof. Giuseppe Acri currently serves as an Associate
Professor at the Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche, Odontoiatriche e Delle
Immagini Morfologiche e Funzionali, Università degli Studi di Messina, Messina,
Italy. He received a degree in physics from the University of Calabria and a
degree in medical physics from the University of Messina. Prof. Acri’s
scientific research activity has focused on the fields of health physics and
biomedical physics. His research interests include physical-medical
applications in MRI diagnostics and developing phantoms and software to conduct
quality control. In recent years, he has paid attention to the Raman and
NIR spectroscopic techniques and their applicability in both human and
veterinary medicine.
