This study provides a bibliometric review of 238 studies on the concept of green shipping corridors in the maritime industry, published in 93 academic outlets and authored by 654 scholars. Bibliographical data were extracted from the Web of Science database and analyzed using the bibliometrix package in R software (version 4.3.3) alongside VOSviewer (version 1.6.20). Based on citation analysis metrics, the most influential articles, journals, authors, institutions, and countries within the field were identified. Utilizing the bibliographic coupling methodology in VOSviewer, the following four underlying research clusters were distinguished: (1) Sustainable Green Shipping Practices and Research, (2) Alternative Fuels and Low-Carbon Strategies for Maritime Transport, (3) Green and Low-Carbon Maritime Development, and (4) Environmental Sustainability in Maritime Shipping. Content analysis results highlighted crucial policy recommendations, technological adaptation strategies, and collaborative stakeholder practices, providing robust insights for academia and industry practitioners seeking strategic guidance for effective maritime decarbonization via integrated green shipping corridor initiatives.

Point-to-point green shipping corridors are specific maritime routes where the feasibility of zero-emission shipping is catalyzed through coordinated public and private actions. These corridors focus on deploying zero-emission vessels on direct transit routes, fostering sustainable fuel supply chains, and implementing harmonized regulatory frameworks that support decarbonization efforts between two designated ports within the maritime value chain. Currently, they are in the initiation stage, where stakeholders strive to establish a shared vision to enhance their conceptual clarity and align their strategic objectives within the maritime value chain. The aim of this paper is to deepen the understanding of the strategic development of point-to-point green shipping corridors by creating a systemic interrelated relationship between seven identified key constituent factors. The ISM methodology is utilized to construct the hierarchical interrelationships among the factors whereas the MICMAC methodology systematically classifies them based on their respective driving and dependent powers. The findings indicate that High Initial Investment Costs and the Availability of Alternative Fuel Networks are primary factors and drivers, impacting other factors within the hierarchial system.

Regulatory approaches in intermodal transport are policy-driven frameworks and legal instruments that promote modal shift and sustainability by addressing barriers such as infrastructure deficiencies, pricing mechanisms, terminal accessibility, and coordination among public and private stakeholders. Contemporary research in intermodal transport is fragmented, as varied approaches and themes make it challenging for scholars and industry practitioners to form a clear vision of current regulatory approaches. To address this gap, this study conducts a bibliometric analysis of 84 articles regarding regulatory approaches in intermodal transport. The articles were published in 49 academic journals and authored by 185 scholars. The application of the bibliographic coupling methodology in the VOSviewer software enabled the identification of four clusters: (1) sustainable strategies in intermodal freight transport; (2) modal shift in intermodal freight transport; (3) integration and optimisation in intermodal freight transport; (4) decision-making and policy tools for intermodal transport. Content analysis results highlight infrastructure reforms, collaborative governance, and legal and regulatory measures as critical approaches to enhance modal shift efficiency and strengthen intermodal freight transport systems. The findings offer a scientifically robust foundation for scholars and industry practitioners aiming to improve their understanding of how regulatory approaches and possibilities can strengthen intermodal transport systems.

This paper provides a systematic literature review regarding the strategic development of the logistics distribution centers in port hinterland regions, specifically on the Bakar Industrial Zone as a case study. The search of the ISI Web of Science database, combined with the research objective criteria, revealed a total of 17 key papers for the study. Based on the thematic relevance, the papers were grouped into six research clusters: General overview and background, Problem definition and conceptual framework, Optimization models and algorithmic approaches, Simulation and empirical studies, Supply chain integration and network optimization, and Sustainability and efficiency considerations. Cluster content analysis identified nine proposed strategic guidelines for sustainable development of logistics distribution centers: Infrastructure modernization and investment, Supply chain integration, Advanced optimization and algorithm adoption, Green and sustainable practices, GIS and digitalization integration, Uncertainty management via grey systems, Simulation and empirical validation, Continuous improvement and sensitivity analysis, and Integrated decision support systems. Together, these nine strategic guidelines advance the sustainable development of LDCs by ensuring the state-of-the-art infrastructure, integrated supply chain planning, advanced optimization and digital technologies, and adopting green practices to improve operational efficiency and reduce the impact on the environment. The above guidelines were implemented on the Bakar Industrial Zone case study, in order to improve infrastructure, harmonize regulations, attract investments and apply sustainable solutions.
