February 1993 to December 1993: Visiting Fellow, Department of Clinical Sciences, Cornell University, New York, USA.
June 1996 to July 1997: Post-doctoral Associate, Department of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, New York, USA.
March 1998: Certified Degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, PhD Program (Philosophy Doctor), Department of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Helsinki University. Thesis title: “Plain propofol or propofol-associated anaesthesia in dogs: cardiovascular, pulmonary and neurologic effects”
Dr. Bufalari was a Senior Lecturer for Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine for veterinary students from 1991 to 2000 and a Senior Lecturer for Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine for veterinary students from 2000 to 2018. Since 2013, Dr. Bufalari has been a Senior Lecturer for General Surgery and a Senior Lecturer for Veterinary Orthopedics.
Dr. Bufalari's main research interests are in the field of surgery and orthopedics in small animals. He is the
author of 89 papers (WOS Core Collection) in international peer-reviewed journals, several International and National Conference papers, and abstracts. He is also the author of 4 books.
