Belkis C. Sulbarán Rangel is a research professor at the University of Guadalajara Campus Tonala and belongs to the National System of Researchers of Mexico (SNI level II). She has a degree in Forest Engineering (2005) from the Universidad de los Andes Mérida-Venezuela; a Master of Science degree in Forest Products (2009) from the University of Guadalajara-Mexico, with an emphasis on the sustainability of industrial processes related to the industry's purification system of paper to obtain less contaminated effluents in the discharge waters of the process; and a PhD in Materials Science (2013) from the University of Guadalajara-Mexico, where she studied the interactions of water molecules with cellulose surfaces.
